Let's Get Your Ad Noticed!
- Make good use of the title! The title
information will be picked up by the search engines. State what your are
marketing in the title. Good examples are "Paint 2yr Old Filly For Sale" or
"Farrier in Southern Montana" Bad examples would be vague, like "Great
Trot", or "KidProof". Identify what you are selling and promote it!
- Your contact information: If you don't put
it in, the prospective customer won't see it. This is good and bad, and is
truly a personal issue. However, if you do enter your phone number when you register,
it WILL be displayed. Be sure this is what you want. Otherwise the
prospective buyer will be able to reach you via the automated email system on
The Horse Marketer. Be sure and check this email address regularly. You
don't want to miss anything!
- If you have decent photos, let's use them!
Try and keep your photos within 200 pixels High by 400 pixels Wide. If you don't
know what this means, send us an email. Just click on contact us and send us
your question. We're happy to help, but it may take up to 48 hours for a
response. If you want a faster response, go to the message board. People
there love to help!
- Try to find a GOOD conformation photo of
your horse. The horse should be standing on level ground, without weeds and brush
in the way, and standing as square as possible. Make sure the neck isn't
turned or in an artificial position. Relaxed is best! You can use up
to 4 photos, so maybe a couple action shots and one under saddle if
possible. If you're selling equipment, again, make it easy for a buyer
to like what you're selling - CLEAN is good! Try to get the best photos
possible. Pictures DO SELL!!
- Be descriptive in your description! Again,
think of how you'd describe the item or service you're marketing to a
friend.
Best of Luck and Here's Hoping For A Fast Sale!
